We Need Your Help! Please Show Your Support for wind
energy. Important Public Meetings on the proposed Long Island Offshore
Wind Park will be held on July 10 and 11. We need your help in making
a case for moving forward with this proposal that would generate
enough pollution-free electricity from our abundant offshore breezes
to power 44,000 Long Island homes. Please try to attend and speak
at the Monday meeting if at all possible.
The public meeting dates are as follows:
July 10, 2006, 7 PM at West Babylon High School Performing Arts Center
500 Great East Neck Road, West Babylon, NY 11704July 11, 2006, 7 PM at Massapequa High School (auditorium)

Registration for each meeting will begin on site at
5:30 p.m. It is suggested that you come early if you want to sign
up to speak. More information on the offshore wind park and the Public
Scoping Meetings held by the Minerals Management Service is available

Starflower Experiences, Inc. is a local not-for-profit educational organization that offers programs and experiences to help people understand, appreciate, and live more in harmony with the earth's life systems. The North Fork Environmental Council believes that there are solutions to the challenges for protecting the environment of the North Fork.
Peconic Land Trust - Nonprofit land conservation organization dedicated to protecting open space and farmland on Long island. PLT accepts gifts of land and conservation easements, and works with farmers, landowners and municipalities to find alternatives to full-yield development.
